THE court case of two Richards Bay men facing charges of conspiring to murder Brackenham Pastor Daniel Munisami, has been moved to the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court and subsequently remanded to 5 November for pre-trial conference.
The conference allows each attorney the opportunity to peruse a copy of the docket and consult with the client concerned to address all issues pertinent to the dispute and witnesses involved.
Kishore Maniram (51 and Sunker Jugdeo (55) were arrested in August and first appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court where they were granted bail.
According to legal documents, the two accused first conspired with Zwelathe Tembe in 2011 and again this year with Thulani Myeni to kill Munsami, the senior Pastor of New Lifer Church in Brackenham and Director of Nkosi Community Projects, an outreach programme aimed at supporting orphans and vulnerable children.
According to Richards Bay SAPS Spokesperson Captain Debbie Ferreira, Munsami noted in his statement that he was at his home when a man approached him informing him of the task he had been given to carry out and that he instead decided to confess.
