ONE person died and four were injured when two trucks collided on the N2 near Eteza at about midnight.
KZN Emergency Medical Services paramedics in the uThungulu Health district responded to the smash.
According to Robert McKenzie from EMS, it appeared the trucks collided head-on.
‘Sadly one person had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead by the attending paramedics, while four other patients had sustained serious injuries and were treated by the paramedics who transported the patients to Ngwelezane Hospital for continued care,’ he said.
