Blood bank extends operating hours

THE Richards Bay Blood Donor Centre has extended its operational hours and will now be open on a Wednesday until 6pm.

According to Debbie Duff of the local branch situated at Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre, the change was implemented at the beginning of October to accommodate donors who cannot reach the centre before the daily closing time at 4.30pm.

The extension will operate on a trial basis for three months and if successful, it will continue into 2015.

Normal office operating hours are Monday to Friday, with the exception of Wednesday from 9am to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 8.30am to 1pm.
