Ulundi volleyball player nominated for award
16-year old volleyball star nominated for Junior Sportswoman of the Year award.
LOCAL volleyball star, Zanele Ndwandwe (16) of the Butterflies Volleyball Club in Ulundi, attended the KZN Sports Awards at the ICC in Durban on Saturday, after being nominated for the Junior Sportswoman of the Year award.
Unfortunately the talented youngster did not take the award home, but had the honour of making the short list and got to meet sporting stars such as Chad le Clos and Bridgette Hartley.
Zanele comes from Hlabisa and captained the KZN Junior team and was selected for the National Junior Squad that participated in the 2014 African Youth Games in Gaborone.
