AT the Bell Big Five MTB Series prize-giving on Saturday, Shane Webster announced that the eShowe Elephant, which has been included in the Big Five over the last two years, will be replaced with an event to be hosted by the Zululand Multi Sport Club in Richards Bay.
This was met with much approval from the top riders awaiting to receive their awards.
The most closely contested category in the 2014 season was the 25km U16 age group.
After tallying the races, excluding eShowe’s event, there was a mere five seconds between top placed Matthew Makrinos and Dennell Goosen.
