Breaking News: Three die in patient bus crash

THREE patients died when an Emergency Medical Rescue Services bus travelling between Empangeni and Nkandla overturned in the early hours of this morning.

Seven of the patients transported between Ngwelezana and Nkandla Hospitals were critically injured and 10 were left in a serious condition when the bus crashed 20km from Nkandla.

The other passengers escaped with minor injuries.

All the injured passengers were transferred to the Nkandla and St Mary’s Hospitals.

Details of the cause of the accident are not yet available.
