Senzo the soccer star
Unizul student represented SA at the Confederation of Universities and Colleges Sports Association games.
UNIVERSITY of Zululand student and striker Senzo Myeni recently claimed silver whilst representing South Africa at the 17th edition of the Confederation of Universities and Colleges Sports Association (CUCSA) games held last month in Zambia.
The talented soccer star was one of 16 students selected to represent the country at the games, and the only one from KZN.
To top this great achievement, he was also named second leading goal scorer at the competition.
‘Through respect, many goals can be achieved and I am very pleased to having represented the entire province in this competition,’ said Myeni.
The South African team reached the finals of the tournament, but unfortunately went down to Namibia.
Myeni believes that for sportsmen and women to go places they need to be disciplined, work hard and be well-mannered.
Senzo now joins his Unizulu team mates in preparation for defending their title at the University Sport South Africa (USSA) games which will be held in December.
