Chris and company light up stage

Chris Chameleon's show a winner in Richards Bay.

THE pleasingly large audience certainly got their money’s worth at Three Cities Imvubu Lodge on Sunday night with a double billing of note.

Headlining the show was multi-talented SA favourite Chris Chameleon, who displayed his wide range of vocal and verbal skills: an entertainer, not merely a singer.

Listening to each song in context, after he explained its origin, was so much better than merely listening to a CD or DVD.

Adding to his presentation was the presence of Daniella Deysel, whose poetry Chris has set to music and a rare talent in her own right.

Impeccable harmonies coupled with the depth of meaning of the lyrics and arrangements of the compositions satisfied the most critical of audience member – not that there were any, given the superb quality of the performances.

The show was opened by local duo ZeeRoover, who are fast expanding their fan base with their authentic SA-flavoured repertoire.

Always a pleasure to listen to, Eugene Viljoen and Corrie Pretorius showed again they can match the best and ZeeRoover is surely well on its way to becoming a household name wherever good music is enjoyed.
