Suburb clinics facilities upgraded

The sandy area proved a challenge for patients.

RESIDENTS visiting the Aquadene Community Clinic now have easier access to the facility after it was upgraded this month.

The walkway, new paving and pathway leading to the venue has been constructed, which is situated next to the community hall.

Assisting ward councillor AS Dawood to facilitate service delivery in Aquadene, committee member Sheila Dunn said the upgrade was much needed, especially to help patients using wheelchairs.

The sandy area proved a challenge for patients and the concern was raised during public meetings.

Meanwhile, Dunn said speed humps on Acorus Anchor were also erected and will help to deter speeding on the main road which is located near the schools.

Speeding and reckless driving have been a challenge and the calming measures are expected to act as a deterrent.
