A MTUBATUBA teacher is fighting for her life in a Richards Bay hospital after allegedly being shot by her ex-boyfriend yesterday (Wednesday).
According to KwaMsane police, the shooting took place as the woman was leaving her home for work when a staff vehicle arrived to take her to school.
‘The driver of the vehicle, who witnessed the incident, said the woman was closing the gate of her property when a white Toyota Tazz without registration plates appeared,’ said Captain Jabulani Mdletshe.
‘The driver of the Tazz pulled out a gun and fired a shot at the woman, but missed,’ said Mdletshe.
‘The teacher rushed to the staff car, opened the door and tried to get in, but a second shot was fired which wounded the woman on the right side of her stomach.
‘According to the driver of the staff vehicle, the woman claimed the shooter was her former boyfriend who was trying to kill her. The suspect in the Tazz fled the scene and the driver of the staff car drove straight to the police station to report the incident,’ Mdletshe said.
The injured teacher was taken to a KwaMsane clinic and was later transferred to Richards Bay.
An attempted murder docket has been opened for investigation.

like seriously?????? some people clearly does not understand the phrase “the silver cup has broken” what is the use of wanting to kill someone just because she broke up with you? men with their ego. sometimes you just have to man up and accept what has happened and move on with your life just like your partner has done.
