Kenny gets called up
Empangeni rugby player will play for the SA Schools' rugby team.
KENNY van Niekerk (18) who attends Glenwood High School, but lives in Empangeni, got the call-up to the SA Schools’ rugby team on Sunday, after impressing in the trials earlier this month.
The youngster flew to George to join the squad ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Wales.
The SA team made light work of the French last Friday, beating them 28-13.
They played Wales yesterday in George and will finish up on Sunday when taking on England.
