JUDITH Nzimande is hailed in the business world as being the first female to occupy the authoritative position as the President of the Zululand Chamber of Commerce and Industry since its establishment on 8 October, 1926.

She has a formidable CV which spans her career of 19 year’s experience in Human Resources related fields at the highest levels.

But what has moulded this remarkable woman into a leader without par is her passion about growth, innovation and development of employees as well as the upliftment of disadvantaged communities.

She enjoys mentoring and coaching people and encourages a thinking environment where people think and share new ideas.

Organisers of the Tea on the Terrace fund-raising function were delighted when Judith accepted the invitation to be the guest speaker at this worthy function on Saturday, 6 September, at the Umfolozi Casino Resort.

Proceeds go toward cancer patients who cannot afford screening tests and also to provide transport and comfort to those sufferers during treatment sessions at Cansa House in Kildare Avenue, Empangeni.

Although bookings have been brisk there are still tables available at a cost of R1 000 to seat eight or ten.

Create a theme for your table setting of your own choice and dress to match! The guests will each be responsible for eats and to provide crockery and cutlery.

Organisers are busy planning great fun entertainment and it will be a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new folk.

An innovative choice this year is that there will be no panel of judges responsible for the best or most fun table, but each individual table will hand in a unanimous vote for the best table. That totals close on 300 judges!
