Soccer buzz at Heuwelland
Grantleigh and Heuwelland battled it out on the soccer field.
HEUWELLAND Primary School’s sport field was abuzz with soccer action on yesterday afternoon, when Grantleigh made the trip down from Mposa to play five matches.
The action kicked off at 2pm with the U13A boys’ teams taking to the field.
This game was one-sided, with the home side winning 4-0.
Ronaldo Strick, Babelwe Mzulwini, S’bonga Matha and Khula Sithole all found the back of the net for Heuwelland.
The goal scoring then froze up in the next two games, with the U11A girls’ and U11 B boys’ games resulting in goalless draws.
The U13A girls then followed in a match that produced end to end action, finishing with Heuwelland stealing a 1-0 win, thanks to Asande Mngomezulu who scored a cracking goal.
The day’s play ended off with another goalless draw in the U11A boys’ game.
