Golfing to save lives

Golfers supported the NSRI golf day at Richards Bay Country Club.

A TOTAL of 128 golfers grabbed their clubs on Thursday to participate in the 9th annual NSRI golf day hosted by Island View Shipping, Voigt Shipping and King&Sons Shipping at the Richards Bay Country Club.

Some players forgot life jackets and almost ‘drowned’ carding low points after their 18 holes.

But D Mathews, J Oosthuizen, P Koortzen and J Singh managed to stay afloat scoring 93 points to win the day.

Participants followed a 4 Ball Alliance, with two scores to count format.

The day was well attended and sponsored with all proceeds going to NSRI.
