Grantleigh College snatches league two

Grantleigh College excels at league two of the Zululand Inter-schools athletics league.

GRANTLEIGH College took the second round of the Zululand Inter-School Athletics League with a total of 254 points at Empangeni High School on Tuesday afternoon.

The day was full of action, which saw a total of 19 records being smashed.

The U15 and U17 boys and girls competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 4x100m on the track, as well as long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot-put and javelin on the field.

The third round will take place at eShowe High School on Tuesday 19 August, with the competition wrapping up at Grantleigh School on Tuesday 26 August.

1 Grantleigh College 254 points, 2 Felixton College 217 points, 3 Richards Bay High School 193 points, 4 Empangeni High School 146 points, 5 Richards Bay Christian School 106 points and 6 St Catherine’s 62 points
