MEMBERS of the Beachcombers Photography Club continued to dazzle with their impressive entries in the August competition.
In the Theme category (Audio-visuals), it was Peter Martin who shone with his entry entitled, ‘The Dusi 2014’.
In the Open section, the evening belonged to Hein Beukus, whose ‘Starry Night’ won first place.
Hein also took the Junior category with most points.
Certificates of Merit were issued to Sias van Schalkwyk for ‘The Bite’ and Brad Gray’s entry, ‘Winter Joy’.
The club looks forward to next month’s meeting with ‘Negative Space’ as the theme.
Two workshops are planned during August: one on Macro Photography, and another on Aircraft and Aviation photography, at Billy’s Hill outside Empangeni.
Visitors and photographers, are invited as guests on the first Tuesday of every month at the NSRI base, next to Zululand Yacht Club in Richards Bay.
Induction for new members starts at 6.30pm, and the club meeting at 7pm sharp.
