TWO Richards Bay residents were arrested this week for conspiring to murder well-known Brackenham Pastor, Daniel Munsami.
Kishore Maniram (51) and Sunker Jugdeo (55) were arrested on Monday and appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where they were granted bail of R1 000.
The case was postponed to 26 August for a regional court decision.
According to the charge sheet, the two accused conspired with Zwelathe Tembe in July and August 2011, and then Thulani Myeni between January and March this year to kill Munsami, the senior Pastor of New Life Church in Brackenham and the Director of Nkosi Community Projects, an outreach initiative that supports orphans and vulnerable children.
Richards Bay SAPS Communications Officer, Captain Debbie Ferreira, confirmed that Munsami opened a case in March and alleged he was at home when a man approached him and told him two men had given him money to kill him, but he decided to tell the pastor instead.

If it was conspired in 2011 why were they not accused and arrested then? only 3 years later the story comes up again. if you want to kill someone, why wait so long???? fishy story
Go Connie I still try to what’s going on at home!
Brackenham pastor ‘hit’ backfires
it makes me sick reading this articles, what are the ministers in Brackehnam doing about this? this article tarnishes Christianity. the pastor should know better not to take his brother to court.
this seems like a personal matter.
This story is very one sided….no one needed to know wat the pastor has done for whoever…as the 2 other men have also contributed to the community.i have also noticed that all that specific church’s news articles are done by the same reporter.THIS IS TRUELY ABSURD FOR HER DOING AN ARTICLE WITH FAVOURITISM
