Cops crack ‘cat’ dealer in Empangeni

Nigerian man arrested for drug dealing.

NIGERIAN national, Onyekachi Umeh (39) was arrested on Friday afternoon in the parking lot of St Catherine’s School in Empangeni.

Following leads, the Richards Bay Organised Crime Unit conducted a sting operation in the area. There were no pupils on the premises due to school holidays.

The undercover police officers caught Umeh with two parcels of ‘cat’ (methcathinone) and charged him for dealing illegal substances.

He made his first appearance at the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court on Monday and will re-appear for a formal bail application on 28 July.

He will remain in custody at the Empangeni SAPS until his next appearance.

  1. Then what? he gets bail and laughs as he walks out and makes the bail money back before the sun rises the next morning. A year later the case might come up but his killing our youth with his crack and could not be happier, a free man to do what he does till his case appears.
