High fliers over Ulundi

KZN Winter Air Tour is set to take over the Zululand skies.

THE final air show in the KZN Winter Air Tour is set to take over the Zululand skies as the third annual Ulundi Air Show gets underway.

‘We are proud and happy to be associated with the KZN Winter Air Tour,’ said Municipal Manager Johan de Klerk from the hosting Zululand District Municipality.

Highlighting the regions spruced up airports organisers begin each Airshow with a development programme for the top local youth.

It teaches them about the different facets of aviation and in association with Federal Airlines gives many the opportunity to fly for the first time in their lives.

The gates will open at around 9am on Saturday and the show will start around 10am with an opening parade made up of the heroes from local emergency services.

Parachute jumpers will fall from the heavens, there will be aerial displays, fast jets and a range of impressive acts from the Yak Attack, the MX2, Goodyear Eagles, Impala, Black Mamba among others.

At lunch the action people can walk around the aircraft, meet the pilots and get an up-close photo next to their favourite aircraft. There will be cash only food stalls.
