The programme is organised by Winning Ways Co-ordinator, Lwazi Langa in partnership with uThungulu District Municipality, to help matriculants work hard to finish their school syllabi and be ready for the upcoming matric exams.

‘Teachers from all over Richards Bay Circuit gave up their mid-year vacations to help matric pupils study and understand te work before their end-of-year examinations.

Lwazi Langa said, ‘Our aim is for uThungulu District to achieve a 100% matric pass this year, therefore we encourage all parents and pupils to commit themselves to making this winter school intervention a success. This will also help matriculants share their subject knowledge with other pupils from other schools, as well as positively motivate them to compete to be the best in their subjects.

Langa wishes to thank uThungulu District Municipality Deputy Mayor. Cllr Thulani Mashaba for the support he gave the Tholokuhle Centre at eNseleni so the pupils can benefit.

He also thanked uThungulu District Education Manager, David Chonco and Circuit Manager, Dr MM Madondo for the opportunity they gave his organisation to help improve matric results.
