Shock death of dance pupil

Community mourns Felixton College pupil's death.

A ROUTINE dance examination ended in tragedy when a 12-year-old Felixton College pupil collapsed and died at the Moth Hall in Empangeni earlier today.

Paramedics fought bravely to resuscitate Ashley Sclanders, but without success.

The cause of her death will be the subject of an autopsy tomorrow but friends said she had shown no signs of illness before the incident.

Family and friends including their minister quickly rallied to the support of Ashley’s shocked parents, Oliver and Karen and brothers Brian and Rowan.
