BAY Rhythmic Gymnastics Club participated in its second competition of the year on Saturday in Durban and made Zululanders proud with some fantastic performances.
The club entered 56 gymnasts from Level 1 through to Level 5 and after three and a half years, the club still shows excellent results by dominating the podium places bringing home loads of medals. The club won two trophies this year in the team trophy competition.
Coach Chandre Cronje said she was extremely proud of all her girls who deserved all the accolades they received.
Faith Mthenjana received a gold medal for winning her age group and she received the soft toy (Elephant) for the highest score for level 4
Faith Mthenjana , Alyssa Claassen and Simphiwe Ntombela also won the trophy for the Level 4 team trophy competition while Anmari van Niekerk received a gold medal for winning her age group.
Alike Janse van Rensburg, Ilke Janse van Rensburg and Trinesche van der Merwe won silver medals as the second team winners for Level 5.
Bronze medals went to Kerbe-Paege Calasse and Abby Farran for their third place in the team trophy competition for Level 5
Their next competition is in three weeks in Hilton, and thereafter, will compete in Nationals in Cape Town..
