ESHOWE freelance writer and graphic designer, Simphiwe Xulu, specialises in infographic design.
Having worked in the advertising industry for just over a year, Simphiwe is also part of a creative collective behind a comic movement called Njejust.
Njejust is a comedy movement started by four University of KwaZulu-Natal graduates who wanted to offer the world cartoons and comedy.
Whilst everyone was busy being amazing, graduating Cum Laude and ‘living it up’ in varsity, they took it upon themselves to be the resident clowns on campus as they tried to give students a unique snapshot of the funniest things that happened on campus.
UKZN students embraced the idea of a ‘njeVolution’ (a revolution of no reason).
They sold hundreds of T-shirts, hosted events, shot short comic films, selling hundreds of hot-dogs over a period of three years.
The students were heavily entertained and they predicted big things for them as entrepreneurs to watch out for in the future.
Since they left university, they have tried to organise themselves into a serious business and even wrote a short comic book but have not succeed yet.
They have decided to go back to the drawing board and simply make cartoons and share them online for the love of it to see where it takes them.
Anyone interested in drawing for njejust or booking Mr Njejust cartoons for their publication they can contact them at nje.just@yahoo.com.

Talented, passionate and driven boys, keep walking!
