THE Jabulani Dome will light up to the beat of the latest Bhangra tracks from around the world as the ‘Oh Shava Shava’ event touches down for the first time in Zululand.
Join Fahim Jamadar on 24 May at the Umfolozi Casino Resort for a ‘Family Fusion Bhangra’ to remember.
Catch the man himself spinning tracks that will have the whole family dancing the night away.
Joining Fahim will be crowd favourite Deon Chetty and local heart-throb Deejay Nivaadh Singh.
Hosted by Ryan Naicker from Lotus FM, the bhangra starts at 7.30pm and ends at midnight.
For those who are looking to take the night further, the casino’s Sugar Room will host the after party.
Richards Bay’s pro-deejay and music producing powerhouse, Nivaadh Singh will be on the decks busting bhangra beats too. ‘I am so amped for the event, after playing at other bhangras in town I know what the Zululanders want and they will surely get just that’ said the music maestro.
Ryan Naicker of Lotus FM also told Eastern Watch that he is excited to bring one of the biggest bhangra bashes to Zululand. ‘I am very excited to be joining the Zululand community for this fantastic event. Being a part of #OhShavaShava and this family fusion bhangra is an incredible honour and I look forward to seeing the whole of Richards Bay and Empangeni out in numbers on Saturday’ he said.
The ‘Oh Shava Shava’ team invite the whole family to join in. Adult tickets are available pre-sold at R100 per person. Children under the age of five get in free and under 13s pay half-price. Tickets will also be available at the door.
