In 2010 Luyanda played in the Inter-Provincial Tournament at Pioneer High School in Vryheid and in 2014 he played at the Port Elizabeth Rugby Week both on a national level.
He has also played for the Northern Coastal Team in the U12 and U13 age groups and received a sports scholarship at Durban High School.
Currently, Luyanda is playing for Durban High School’s 1st rugby team and is excelling in his position.
When asked what his motto is for life, he replied, ‘hard work brings results.’
SuperSport Let’s Play and Zululand Observer have been looking for youth aged from seven to 18-years-old who excel in school sports in KZN, nationally or internationally. The competition can be entered by nominating yourself or be nominated by a friend, teacher or coach at your school.
Every month one lucky player will be chosen as the SuperSport Let’s Play Star of the Month.
The monthly winner will receive a Let’s Play tog-bag and hamper filled with goodies, as well as the opportunity to be in the Zululand Observer and on SuperSports Facebook and Twitter pages.
At the end of the year, one star will be chosen as the SuperSport Let’s Play Star of the Year 2014. With some fabulous prizes to be won, and the chance of getting to be on TV, this opportunity should not be missed.
