New curator at museum

Former Empangeni Museum curator takes the reins in eShowe.

JOHANNES Diemont (32) is the new curator at the Zululand Historical Museum.

A humble down-to-earth bachelor with a bubbly personality, he is sure to fit in well with locals.
Johannes hails from Richards Bay and said he is keen to be part of the eShowe community.

He has been around the block and worked at a butchery, shooting range, has done some teaching and sold real estate.
He studied history and politics from 2001 to 2006 through Unisa and holds a second Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He is currently enrolled for his post graduate diploma in Public Administration.

Johannes will bring his experience to the Zululand Historical Museum as he has worked at the Empangeni Museum for more than four years. But, he said he will not barge in with drastic changes, preferring to drive the smooth sailing of the museum.
