Lego isn't just for small kids

Although Lego has been a part of our childhood, most of us have allowed the recollection to partially fade away as part of our sandbox memories as we have presumably outgrown those building blocks that have been replaced by technological advancements.

Yet, for all of us, it has actually played a major role in our development and provided us with years of fun.

Not since the dawn of the new Lego movie have we been reminded of this legacy. This toy, which started out as a company manufacturing wooden toys, has now grown to become the second largest toy manufacturer in the world.

The fact is that many people never outgrow their love for Lego. A case in point is international soccer hero David Beckham who has, for example, built the London bridge as part of his collection.

Doctors, engineers and especially architects still find inspiration to this day, by building Lego.

Lego has recently recognised the need for a more challenging market. Responding to this need, Lego started producing the Lego Creator series, which involves sets more appealing to a more grown-up market.

These sets will typically provide the builder with three different options for creation that would include mostly mechanically inspired objects such as planes or helicopters.

Personally I find that its not until you start creating from your own imagination that these magic blocks really start to inspire your creative abilities with endless possibilities.

Never let age or prejudice be a deciding factor in your choice of simply having fun.
