BRACKENHAM pensioner Govindama Moodley, charged with possession of drugs and suspected stolen property, appeared briefly in Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court but the matter was postponed.
Moodley appeared in court and indicated she was ill and had consulted with a general practitioner and the matter was postponed to 9 April.
The 66-year-old is facing four charges of being in possession of five blocks of cocaine, 10 mandrax tablets, a bucket of dagga and stolen property including cellphones and jewellery.
She was charged in March last year, after police raided her property in Cibotium Street where they discovered the drug haul and other suspected stolen items.
Moodley confirmed in court last year, she will plead not guilty and denied the possession charges.
She has no pending cases, however, she does have four drug related convictions.
