Bay tops in jukskei league

Each club had teams in the A, B and C leagues.

RICHARDS Bay Jukskei Club received the Club of the Year award after dominating the Northern KwaZulu-Natal Jukskei League.

Thirty teams competed in the league this season, representing Sarel Cilliers (Dundee), Newcastle, Richards Bay and Vryheid.

Each club had teams in the A, B and C leagues.

The A division had nine teams, B division 14 teams and C Division seven teams battling it out for the top spot.

The Bay lads managed to win the A and B divisions, with a second place finish in the C division.

This is the first time that the local club has received this prestigious award.

To top this achievement, eight players from the club were selected to represent the KZN senior team from 31 March to 4 April at the SA Jukskei Championships in Kroonstad.
