Eliminators claim Oddball glory

Eliminators pip Nashua Ninjas at challenging 'Olympics' day.

THE Eliminators lived up to their name on Saturday when they claimed the 2014 Oddball Olympics crown and glory after putting on a fine display at St Catherine’s School.

‘Training to be an Olympian takes dedication, commitment and hard work,’ said a team member.

‘To claim gold at the games is a dream come true.’

A total of 26 teams entered the third annual Oddball Olympics and took up the challenging 12 games that tested competitors mental and physical capacity.

The event saw 10 new games introduced with all funds raised going to the school.

The day was well organised and spectators witnessed competitors groveling in the mud, enduring wipe-outs and everyone enjoyed a good laugh.

The Eliminators stole the bragging rights for 2014, but with the event growing every year, next year’s event will be very interesting.
