Zini swimmers make a splash
Mtunzini Primary School won the Inter-prep gala at Arboretum town pool
MTUNZINI Primary School managed to take the winners crown at the Inter-prep Challenge gala with a total of 290 points, which was held at the Arboretum town pool on Wednesday afternoon.
Eight schools took to the blocks to compete at the last gala for the school swimming season, which resulted in some tight finishes and competitive races.
Swimmers showcased their swimming skills and endurance as the competed in all strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breastroke and Freestyle) over 25m and 50m, with individual medleys being swum by the U13’s and two freestyle squadron races to end off proceedings.
Individual swimmers were rewarded at the end for all their hard work and dedication over the season.
The organisation of the event was well done with the gala running smoothly.
