HARD-hats off to Sibusiso Blessing Mthiyane who was announced the 2013 Bell Welder of the Year.
Accepting his award from the home-grown heavy equipment manufacturer, Mthiyane said he is proud of this achievement.
‘Hard work, dedication to your job and loving what you do is a key to success,’ he said.
According to Bell Equipment Production, Safety, Health, Environment and Maintenance Director Clive Hodgson, the company’s welds and welders play a huge role in the manufacturer attaining its proud status.
‘Our products manufactured here at the plant rely heavily on welding to make the product strong and reliable, and therefore it is important that we have welds of the highest quality,’ said Hodgson.
‘Welding is one of the skills that is most difficult to acquire and become proficient at in the plant.’
