Hot action at surfski race
A total of 39 boats participating in the first of 10 events.

THE Nashua Autumn Surfski Series got underway this weekend at the Zululand Kayak Club, which saw a total of 39 boats participating in the first of 10 events.
Conditions aided paddlers, as swells running from the yellow buoys towards Pelican Island aided the racers to increase their speed.
The next series race is on Saturday and sponsored by PJ Projects.
There is 61 registrations so far, which will make the second race highly competitive.
Race registration starts at 8.30am on Saturday, followed by the race briefing and the start scheduled for 9am.
Wind conditions are predicted to be over 15 knots, which will make paddling challenging, so leashes need to be used.
