A MOTOR vehicle and truck collided head-on while travelling between Ulundi and Vryheid on the R34 at about 9am yesterday (Thursday).
The driver of the car died after his car caught alight, causing the diesel tanks in the truck to explode.
The truck driver survived as he jumped out of the wreck before the diesel tanks caught alight.
