Another drug bust by the special eSikhaleni detective's team Operation Thatha Zonke on Friday

THE eSikhaleni special detective team ‘Operation Thatha Zonke’ confiscated bank cards, illegal substances and stolen property valued at R450 000 plus an undisclosed amount of cash last Friday.

The operation targeted places reported to have high criminal activity in eSikhaleni, such as uMkhobose Reserve, KwaNdaye, eNsimbini and the H2 section.

Group leader Captain Nhlahla Mncwango said 10 suspects were arrested and charged for being in possession of illegal substances, stolen property and for fraudulent activities.

‘We are on a mission to clean up our township and get rid of all these criminal activities and drugs. We seized house furniture and appliances which included TVs, sound systems, sofas and printers.

‘Drugs, identity books and bank cards were also among items found,’ he said.

The new and dedicated team seized drugs such a dagga, whoonga and mandrax worth R310 000 last week.
