EHS rugby on the roll
Empangeni High School (EHS) held their first team rugby trials.
STRONG runs and crunching tackles was the order of the day during the final round of the Empangeni High School (EHS) first team rugby trials.
Despite the scorching weather conditions, the players worked up buckets of sweat to raise their hands for selection.
The lads have been training under coaches Johan Raubenheimer and Kobus Wernich.
A first team squad of 25 players will be announced this week which will travel to Dundee over the weekend to play Vrede Hoërskool in a rugby festival.
As further preparations for the season, the squad will travel to Durban North during the school holidays to compete in a rugby tournament just before the season officially kicks off in the second term.
