Zululand riders at national equestrian competition

SIX riders of Dayspring Equestrian Club competed in the first SA National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) qualifier last weekend.
Kelly Ervine (Grantleigh), Serryn Stickley (Grantleigh), Natasha Oosthuizen (St Catherine’s), Nikita Lombard (St Catherine’s), Jessica Johnson (Grantleigh) and Olivia Johnson (Grantleigh) performed well, winning rosettes in several classes.
The riders competed under their school names in order to gain points for their respective schools.
Individually they have to earn enough points to qualify for a place in the KZN team, and to go to the SA championships.
The next qualifier takes place on 15-16 March in
Pietermaritzburg.
