WATCH: Petrol tanker in flames on N2
A double petrol tanker and another truck have collided
UPDATE:
TWO people were killed in the accident that occurred between two trucks on the N2 at lunch time today (Saturday).
According to IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics on scene, the trucks had a head-on collision.
A third person was taken to hospital.
As at 4pm today the road was still closed, with all authorities on scene, and traffic diverted onto the R102.
A MAJOR accident between a double petrol tanker and another truck has led to the closure of the N2 at the Fairbreeze exit.
Explosions from the tanker can be heard from near and far.
Authorities have closed both carriageways of the freeway, as well as the off ramp.
Motorists are urged to stay away from the vicinity.
