THEY always knew it would be a tough ask, but Thanda Royal Zulu FC showed plenty of fighting spirit in going down 2-1 to NFD title chasers Santos on Friday.
No details were available when going to press but judging by the scoreline there was little to choose between the league’s bottom side and the team placed at number four.
It doesn’t get easier for Amabhubesi as they take on third placed Vasco da Gama at Parow Park on Tuesday afternoon, followed by a showdown against number two side Chippa United at the Phillipi Stadium on Friday evening.
Both opponents are just one point behind log leaders Milano United.
But Thanda can play with no fear.
They have shown the ability to beat the best on their day and could do themselves and a host of other sides a favour by springing a couple of shocks.
