TWO separate road accidents claimed the lives of six people over the weekend.
Four people died when they were involved in a head-on accident on the P459 near Mandeni on Friday.
One person is in a serious condition in hospital.
Spokesperson Zinhle Mngomezulu said four cases of culpable homicide have been opened after a car and truck collided.
In a second incident on the same day, two people died when the taxi in which they were travelling overturned on the road to eMondlo outside Vryheid.
