Rhino jump and Horings and Dorings festival in Hluhluwe postponed
Details of potential changes to the festival programme will be communicated at a later date
THE Horings and Dorings festival and all associated events scheduled for 8-10 May in Hluhluwe, have been postponed to 31 July to 2 August owing to the extension of the national lockdown.
Details of potential changes to the festival programme will be communicated at a later date.
Of the events postponed is Project Rhino’s fund-raiser, Skydive for Rhino, which is being held at Badenhorst’s airstrip.
Project Rhino’s Carlien Esterhuizen says the positive side to this is that it gives people ample time to still register for a skydive and raise the funds required to help stop rhino poaching.
Project Rhino needs support now more than ever with fund-raising having become exceptionally difficult during lockdown period, and in many cases almost impossible.
Those who have already booked their spot need to contact Project Rhino to confirm their preferred new date and time.
Esterhuizen says should the entries exceed the time allowed by the new dates, the skydive campaign will be extended to ensure that everyone gets their opportunity to take their brave leap.
Carlien can be contacted on 083 3124014 or email admin@projectrhinokzn.org.
