Blesbok swims to victory

Blesbokke managed to win the Heuwelland Inter-house gala with a total of 155 points on Thursday

WITH school records to be broken, trophies up for grabs and bragging rights for the year ahead, swimmers put everything on the line on Thursday at the Heuwelland Primary School Inter-House Gala.

Pupils and parents cheered and lost their voices, encouraging competitors to swim faster for their respective houses.

Bosbok, Blesbok and Rooibok went head to head, but it was Blesbok who came out on top with a total of 155 points.

The days’ festivities included records being broken, sun-burnt bodies and hoarse voices.

The Junior and Senior Victor and Victrix Ludorum, as well as the Boy and Girl Individual Medley awards will be announced at school assembly on Friday (31 January).

2 Rooibokke 141 points

3 Bosbokke 91 points
