Legendary Zululand pioneer passes away
Zululand stalwart SV Naicker's death will be commemorated on Tuesday
A hero of servitude to humanity, Zululand stalwart SV Naicker, who passed away in the early hours of today (Monday), will be laid to rest tomorrow.
The body will lie in state at his home in Tugela from 9.30am to 11.30am and proceed to the Sungam Hall at noon before the cremation at the Stanger crematorium at 3pm.
Complying with the Covid-19 precautionary restrictions, all necessary precautions will apply at all venues.
Mourners will be asked to wait in their vehicles and will be allowed into the venues in small groups. Time restrictions will also apply.
Community worker Ivan Naidoo said the loss immeasurable and offered his sincerest condolences to the family on behalf of the community.
‘Many sleep comfortable today because of his tireless and selfless service to people.
‘He was a true martyr, who laid his life down to ensure others are at peace.’
