THE Zululand Equalizers II team shot their way to gold on debut in Division 5 at the first SARPL tournament of the year held at The Farm Paintball outside Pietermaritzburg.
The team comprised of Johan Pretorius, Cornelius Badenhorst and Gerhard Heyneke painted their mark on the competition for the 2014 season.
The club entered two sides for this competition, namely The Equalizers who competed in Division 4 and The Equalizers II who dominated Division 5.
Division 4 saw Tiaan Steenkamp, Abri Steenkamp and Damian Millingham snipe their way into third spot after playing against seasoned veterans.
After winning Division 5 last year, The Equalizers were promoted to Division 4 and are confident of doing better at the next competition.
The Equalizers will be focusing their efforts more on the five man field and will be playing in this more challenging form of the game this year with their first ever five man event being held again at The Farm Paintball on 16 February.
