AIMING to bring relief to families experiencing financial stress owing to retrenchments, unemployment or just falling on tough times, the Walk in Faith charity organisation in Richards Bay is hosting its annual dignity drive project which provides members with hygiene hampers.
This year’s target is 205 hampers and the organisation is confident the generous support of the community will once again help them achieve their goal.

Donations of shampoo, toothpaste, body lotion, soap, razor blades, face cloths and sanitary towels are required for each bag.
Founder Merinda Ackerman said the toiletry drive helps needy families, as so often adults, teenagers and children stay away from school or work because they have no toiletries or because of hygienic issues.
‘The numbers of those in need are increasing daily and it is difficult to survive in today’s world, but we can make a difference.
‘We all try our best to provide for our own families and yet it is also a struggle for most of us on a daily basis; but everyone can make a difference and even a donation of one item can help’ she said.
