RECENT University of Zululand (UniZulu) protests have caught the eye of national government, as Minister Blade Nzimande recognises the lack of student leadership as a major cause of friction.

With off-campus students’ safety and National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NFSAS) problems recognised as main issues, Nzimande outlined some solutions that can be immediately implemented.
