Smashing performances

Four boys and girls were selected to represent Empangeni at the Zone trials.

SCHOOLS that fall under the ‘Empangeni Zone’ sent their pupils to Heuwelland Primary School on Monday afternoon for the Empangeni Zonal tennis trials.

Players followed a round robin system where each match result was based on the best of five games played.

There were four girls and eight boys that came out to hopefully play their way into the Empangeni team.

After rallying games, smashing performances and volleying results, the team was selected.

The following boys and girls will represent Empangeni at the Northern Coastal tennis trials which will be held on 1 February at the Richards Bay Country Club.
