Mtubatuba police to intensify its crime fight campaign

According to Colonel Mthokoziseni Mpungose, Mtubatuba police officers cannot cover the whole area on their own and community members can assist in reducing crime levels in the area

MTUBATUBA police have embarked on a campaign to gain community support in fighting crime.

According to Colonel Mthokoziseni Mpungose, Mtubatuba police officers cannot cover the whole area on their own and community members can assist in reducing crime levels in the area.

‘It is imperative to involve the community in our strategies to fight crime. There has been a marked increase in house break-ins and we will deploy more officers in the hot spot zones.

‘We urge all people to communicate with their neighbours, who can keep an eye on their properties when they leave home.

‘Neighbours should know and trust each other because that will help curb burglaries,’ said Mpungose.
