Here’s your line-up of weekend entertainment

GRAB your diary and make note of these events happening in and around Empangeni and Richards Bay this weekend.

Thursday: Don’t Miss BWA Zululand’s first networking session for 2020 today (Thursday) at 5pm at Porky’s At The Lake in Richards Bay. Enjoy an interesting Q&A with the 2019 regional Business Achiever’s Award winners, a quick work make-up tutorial by SLAY makeup design as well as trendy work fashion tips. Friday: Get teased once again by some of the hottest male dancers at the Pulse Ladies Night Out shindig at the Umfolozi Casino Resort. Gather your girlfriends and get your tickets for the hottest gymnastics, singers and dancers set to rock the stage.The show is exclusively for women over the age of 18. Tickets are available at the casino cash desk for R80 per person and R50 for Winners Circle members. Students’ tickets will cost R50 if they produce their

Saturday: Bargain buys at the Richards Bay Sea Scouts steelbridge market from 9am to 2pm. A bumper day’s activities is planned, with lots of bonsai, books, paintings, clothing, art and craft and food on sale. There will be a special prize for the best decorated stall. Saturday: eSikhaleni flea market opposite the Complex next to Build It from 6am until late.

Saturday, 7 March: Entertainment feast at the Zululand Yacht Club with live bands performing in support of farmers in drought areas. The event begins at noon until 7pm at 1 Commodore Close in Meerensee, with lots
of children’s entertainment, crafts, gin, beer and coffee stands and a braai area available.

Friday, 27 March: Playwright and actor Wellington Makwakwa will, for the last time, narrate his childhood story
‘Gogo’s Boy – The Last Bow’ at the Bon Hotel in Empangeni. This also serves as a fund-raiser for his annual project which supports an orphanage and pensioners. Tickets are available at R100 and to book your seat, contact Honey D Inc on 078 2804727 or 081 0197976.
