Massive fish poaching haul and a number of fish and other marine species released

COMBINED operations over the weekend by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife/Enseleni Honorary Officers Anti Poaching Unit, Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) and local security company members yielded much success, including the arrest of two poaching suspects.
The officials intercepted illegal activities, released a number of fish and other marine species, and recovered 12 gill nets measuring 11.5km in length.
Ten poacher boats, knives and one monkey trap were also confiscated.

As the anti-poaching unit is a non profit organisation, donations and contributions are required to fund the different crime prevention initiatives and cover the costs of fuel and maintenance on the boats and motors.
